Ann Coulter, who had been one of Gov. Chris Christie's biggest cheerleaders, is a fan no more. She tweeted on Thursday that Christie is "dead" to her after Sen. Jeffrey Chiesa (R-NJ), the Senator whom Christie appointed after the death of Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), voted to end debate on the Immigration Reform Bill.

Why? We still can’t trust her. Now more than ever. Situational ethics seem her specialty now. This proved it.
Couple thoughts: First, we all liked Christie, at least his TONE, for a while. And a tone of attack is very important, as are the correct principles. Second, Ann stayed on that train way way way too long. This will be her Rubio/immigration reform albatross. It will take a while for folks to forgive and forget. And third, don’t you know, Freepers are perfect and have never made a mistake, and be damned if they’ll accept a mistake from any pundit, elected official, candidate ever. GET WITH THE FR PROGRAM!!!
Welcome back, Ann.
I knew she’d figure it out eventually.
It’s about time she is seeing Christie for what he is — an opportunist!!!
I still enjoy reading her stuff when she's right, though.
Has she fallen out of love with Romney yet?
Let me summarize...
Romney is Satan
Romney is out best option
Christie is wonderful
Christie is dead to me.
Any questions?
How about RINO-ubio, Ann?
True, but he’s pulled NJ out of the Rat abyss it was in using some conservative principles and I had to applaud him for that.
Yes. I agree. She spent two cycles pining for Romney, with a brief romance with Christie. Maybe she saw what happens when we nominate a squishy moderate and rethought her position. Let’s hope.
What I don’t get is that we all saw what was coming with Romney and with Christie. I didn’t expect Christie to do the total face plant he has managed during Sandy and since, but I did start to get suspect of his national political creds awhile ago. I still like the guy, and think he’s good for NJ, but he’s in no way someone I want to see on a national ticket...at least at the top.
Me thinks some ones book sales may be slipping.....
I’ve never liked Christie. One look at his stance on RKBA told me everything I needed to know about him.
When it comes to RKBA, I make Ted Nugent look “middle of the road”.
How a politician feels about us exercising that one, basic, fundamental HUMAN Right tells you almost everything you need to know about them and what they would do TO you given political power.
Her book sales must be way down. Regardless, she’s already done to much damage to the Conservative cause by backstabbing Sarah Palin and promoting both Christie and Romney. She burned her bridges a long time ago, and there’s no rebuilding them.
Add Marco Rubio, Lindsay Graham and the rest of the RINO vermin in the Senate and House including Boner whose out looking for his gonads, IMO.
One thing holds true. If we keep supporting lesser evils, we get more evil. Even the most brain dead RINO supporter out there should understand simple cause and effect with so many recent examples to go by.
If Ann wants to return to conservatism, great. But never forget she will turn on a dime as her history proves time and again.
The lesson here is do not jump on the bandwagon. At first Christie was the man beating on the public employee Union thugs. This is what we need in liberal NE. But he is not what the entire country needs.
Sorry ‘bout that, Ann. Love hurts, especially if you try it with a progressive. Better luck next time.
