I live in California. In Los Angeles a baseball fan got beat up in the parking lot. He was in a coma for months and still cannot take care of himself 2 years later. In Sacramento a fist fight in the parking lot left one of the participants dead. Street fights are not a joke. They can be deadly. Should Zimmerman have waited until he was dead or crippled to defend himself.
This trial is making people who live here very nervous. (I’m about 10 miles from courthouse) in a way we weren’t during Casey Anthony’s trial. I worry for these witnesses. I keep thinking about the “flash mob” phenomena we’ve seen and how it could play out after this trial ends. I can’t imagine being a Sanford cop right now.
