Coping mechanism for an abused child. If an intervention is not done it can turn into more serious mental illness. From her dealing with some of her past lies and why she lied that intervention is being done.
That is/should be the goal of juvenile programs
If caught early enough the results can be very startling.
At this point she is still the victim trying to survive The goal is to have her break the cycle of abuse
That’s why I’m so angry with the prosecution for using her. It put her in jeopardy. They should be reprimanded to the fullest
Her emotional grow would already be stunted. Their reckless actions added to her abuse. It’s like punishing the person who had been raped To not tell the defense is beyond ....no word bad enough
