If the prosecutor got so far as putting this witness on the stand without knowing she had “problems,” he is stupid. The other choice is that he’s in on the scam and betting the jury is stupid/biased enough to go along with it.
Law school rule number one: Never ask a witness a question you don’t already know the answer to.
