Undoubtedly, this opens up a can of worms for the legislature to deal with. I guess they'll have to deal with it on a state-by-state basis.

I guess you missed Obama’s speech saying that he was going to make a point of granting visas to all gay couples requesting one.
But hey - “it doesn’t matter”. Yes, yes, it does. Now, we’ll see plenty of folks get married in one state and deliberately move to another one and sue to get recognition.
We’ll see O push for a ‘gay marriage law’, forcing all the states to recognize gay marriage. And the courts will say it’s ok. ;)
DOMA was precisely that - an attempt to protect marriage. Now that it’s gone, we’ll see the Imperial state try to ram it down our throats.
