Well, as far as I know, every state has made marriage a state's issue requiring licenses etc. Hey, if the locals vote for it, then they should have it.

My issue is KEEP THE LUNK-HEADED FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OUT OF WHERE IT DOESN'T BELONG.

On both of these issues the government (Fed's in DOMA, and state in Prop) did not chose to represent the case in their respective decisions.

There ought to be a law.

A couple and a family, and an estate, have to be able to take their marriage with them as they move from state to state, and join the military, and work for the feds, and travel to, and live in foreign nations, and as foreigners immigrate to the United States.
