You appear to be correct. So.... where were the cops ? That was a police radio conversation he was listening to. How did he make so many turns at such HIGH SPEEDS ? The reporter with the car cam had to make several turns, IIRC.
I asked the same question on that thread. A poster told me that it was a scanner he was listening to in his car, and he made 3-4 (edited) l/r turns, while Hastings went straight and crashed on the same blvd he blew thru the red light. You’d have to Google Earth the names of the streets; I don’t have their software downloaded, so I just took the poster’s word for it.
I can’t find the post, but he ticked-off the streets/blvds like he knew the area well.
In one of YT vids, there’s 2 ladder co fire engines parked there doing nothing about the fire, but no pumper, and no ambulances, and no cops. Weird. Yet other YT vids say the cops were there within minutes.

Good point. I'm sure LE has software to get a better image of the car going through the light and they can determine how fast he was driving (sure, I always sit at odd corners with my video camera going in the middle of the night). Just looking at the video, I can't tell what kind of car it is much less if it's speeding or not. Surely, there would be several cameras along the roadway that might show more. Those are a lot of corners so one would expect there to be skid marks and other witnesses along the way. Have they ever said where he was coming from or headed to?
