Television chef Paula Deen, who lost her gig Friday with the Food Network after admitting and apologizing for having used racial epithets, including the N-word, is a supporter of President Barack Obama, campaigning on his behalf in 2008 and cultivating a friendship with first lady Michelle Obama.
Though Deen allegedly called Obama the N-word in front of her employees, according to a lawsuit, the Southern-bred television personality actually campaigned with Obama in 2008, invited Michelle Obama onto one of her television programs, and praised the first ladys healthy eating agenda.

I saw through her when it was said, either by her or someone else, that she supported Jimmy Carter.
LOL. I keep asking my wife that (she's from Alabama). The first visit to my family's house in MA was interesting... they had never heard a thick southern drawl before and my wife had never heard anyone talking "yankee".
She was just trying to be accomodating but couldn’t wrap her mouth around the typical three syllable yankee pronunciation of “oil,” OH-e-yul.
Every sane person knows it only has one syllable, oal or awl depending upon regional dialect.
Says the weird guy who wears orange Crocs and shorts as his signature chef outfit.
Back in the '60's and earlier, the "N" word signified a lower class black, synonomous with "poor white trash" or "white trash". Both terms are (were) derogatory, but were very common place in language back then.
That was an affectation. She exaggerated the “Southern-ness” for benefit of the camera. She never would have been on the network unless she was liberal. Word is that even absent the “n” word, she was anything but polite and gracious off-camera. Still, she told the truth and apologized, it is a shame it ruined her career AND reinforced a nasty stereotype of Southern whites.
None of the articles I’ve read ever mention WHEN Paula Deen used that dreaded word.
Last year? 5 years ago? 10? 30?, she looks over 55, was it 50 years ago?
WHEN?
What N-word was it? Neocom?
She admitting to using it in 1986, when she was robbed at a bank she was employed at.
According to a lawsuit. The PC police are crazy.
Ten plus people are in the meetings and they say nothing. I really don't care as it's a reflection of her stupidity, but when the double standard surfaces it just makes me angry.
Thanks. I believe you, but while being robbed?
Truth in times like these can be considered incendiary it seems.
I guess she should have shot the bastard instead.
Not fond of Deen but the lady told the truth and got crucified for it. Probably 99% of those who deny ever saying it are lying.
It is good that the “Liberal Community” feeds on its own. However, there is nothing the liberal community fears more than the word for which this poor woman loses her job. The forlorn attempt to suppress the use of the term is a shame as it is often so descriptive and places the object of the term in proper perspective.
I guess you never really know.
She had me fooled.
I guess it was easy for some of us to be fooled. We sure need those good Christian values to be portrayed more often than they are. What you say makes sense, however.
Liberals view the social safety net as a means of placating non-whites, and to keep them quiet.
I have been fooled before also.
