I worded my previous reply poorly. I did not mean to imply someone needed permission.

If you say you and your friends use the word frequently I can not dispute you. I have no way of knowing if this is or is not the case.

I have never heard anyone use the words “truther” or “trutherism” in conversation. The only time I have seen the word truther it was on the internet refering to members of the small fringe group, the 9/11 Truth Movement. A few times on the internet I saw people use the word “truther” dishonestly to describe not just the group but also anyone who questioned any part of the official 9/11 narrative.

I have never seen or heard of the word “trutherism”.

It is a made up word that means whatever the user wants it to mean. It is a lazy and dishonest way to insult anyone who questions the accuracy of any official explanation or narrrative.

Well, all words are “made up”, so that doesn’t really mean much. It does have a very specific meaning, maybe you are not familiar with it, but that doesn’t make it not so. If it meant anything anyone wanted it to mean, nobody would use it, because there is no point to using a word that doesn’t have an understood meaning.
