TED CRUZ LAUNCHES NATIONAL PETITION DRIVE AGAINST GANG OF EIGHT’S IMMIGRATION BILL–

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) launched a national petition on Thursday to stop the Senate Gang of Eight’s amnesty bill and send Washington a “strong signal” of the grassroots opposition to the bill.
“This is urgent,” Cruz wrote in an e-mail to supporters. “We must stop this Gang of 8 immigration bill, which would give amnesty to an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants with no guarantee of a secure border.”
“The Senate debate is in the final stages and we need to send Washington a strong signal of the overwhelming grassroots opposition to this amnesty bill from Americans across the country,” Cruz explained.
Cruz urged supporters to share the petition with friends and to “act now–without delay–to help us defeat amnesty and stand for legal immigration!”
FYI: The current proposed bill will still allow illegal immigration.

Well what in the heck did it say?
I’ve signed dozens of petitions thanks to Free Republic and the format is nearly always the same. There’s the message of the petition, usually at the top of the first page and then a running list of petition signers where everyone can see who signed the petition and what the total number of signatures is. Additionally, the hard copies are delivered to the intended recipient(s) and often pictures/images are conveyed to the general public showing the delivery.
Frankly this “petition” doesn’t pass that smell test.
I signed into a window or box with my name, e-mail address and zip code. THERE WERE NO WORDS APPEARING REPRESENTING ANY KIND OF MESSAGE. It’s foremost a campaign fundraising mechanism and the headline of THIS thread states no such thing.
Call it what it is.

Cruz only wants to ‘kill’ the bill in that he wants stronger border security up front, before going ahead with a massive amnesty that will kill the conservatism and the country.
And he’s the best we’ve got in the Senate—which just shows how deceptively rigged and exploitative the GOP is.

Don’t you want your congress put their time and effort in some thing benefits the Nation, and spend your hard earn money wisely? They all should concentrate to solve our Nation debt, improve our economy, investigate Benghazi, IRS, NSA.....
Illegal immigrants are not going to go any where any time soon, why put this issue on the priority over other issue?
Amnesty Bill is not going to solve our immigration problem. All their talking points can be implemented without passing immigration reform, based on current immigration law. It’s just my opinion.
So you post several mistaken comments that seek to convince people that Cruz isn’t against amnesty he only wants to address border security.
Guess you missed Cruz’s plain-spoken statements, along with his amendment that was voted down of course, that there should never be a path to citizenship, never, never, for those who came here illegally in the first place.

But either you don’t know, or you have an subtle but anti-Cruz agenda.
