That is young.
I am watching a Soprano re-reun right now on HBOsig.
“James Gandolfini,”

I have never seen him or heard of him, but that is all I see on FOX, and reported on FR. Even Savage is talking about him.
I think everyone in the world now knows.
Tony just got a dose of European Socialist medicine.
Poor guy, that’s the age you die from a heart attack when you’re overweight. Maybe, actually, pushing it. It’s usually about 40, I believe. A good argument for any Freepers who are big to get off the seafood diet (I see food, I eat food). Myself included.
I hope Tony was a Christian and now rests in heaven. I loved the Sopranos.
Very sad to go so young. RIP
His portrayal of of the gangster Tony Soprano was stunning. He and the series raised the bar and introduced a golden age of writing and acting. Without the Sopranos there’d be no The Wire, The Shield, Justified...it would all be lame mainstream comedies.
love Robby Benson! sad about James Gandolfini... too young...
There’s a certain governor from New Jersey who should take heed.
Its a little early for details, but by the tone of the
publicists’ statements, as well as others, I get the feeling
his event was one that felled him with no time for intervention. Doubt that it mattered where he was.
I don’t know why, given the extreme violence, which I abhor, I also loved the Sopranos. I think one reason was because the characters looked like real people. Very sad about James Gandalfini.
I don’t know if there would even be groundbreaking shows like “Mad Men”, “Breaking Bad” or “Hemlock Diaries” without “The Sopranos” to lead the way. Seems like maybe James Gandolfini died because he was overweight. Well he was a big guy, not just with a potbelly but big all around. I cannot think of any people that big that are old men.

His time.
17 members of my HS graduating class died of heart attacks before they were 40, and all of them were thin.

I’d say something in the water.
Fifty-one is the age you die from a heart attack when you did lots of coke back in the day.
Dihydrogen oxide.
What was your local cuisine?
I find his death, fishy.
I disagree with you. One can be overweight and heart-healthy if one stays aerobically active.
Early death from heart disease is usually the result of unfortunate genetic heritage.
If you don’t smoke, drink alcohol in moderation, exercise regularly, keep your cholesterol levels within goal range, keep your gums healthy, and take lots of B vitamins to prevent inflammation in your cardiovascular system you are on your way to age 85 at which time you’ll have a 50% chance of developing dementia.
Ain’t life GRAND?
Rest in Peace, Mr. Gandolfini.
