The recently retired South African ambassador to Israel has taken a parting shot at the countrys treatment of Palestinians, calling it a replication of apartheid.
Ismail Coovadia made the statement in a letter to pro-Palestinian activists.
In it, Coovadia explained his decision to reject a symbolic gift from the Israeli governmentplanting trees in his honor in a national park named after South Africa.

Palestinians are not Israelis; the comparison is not the same. Most are refugees from surrounding countries and have no inherent right to demand anything from Israel. That doesn’t stop them, however. It’s a false argument, like calling someone a Nazi just because you don’t agree with them.
Hmmm, I wonder where his sympathies lie?
