Unfortunately it's all too obvious who is which...

This is the further manifestation of Soetoro's promised "flexibility" to Medvedev.

By this time, I'm sure Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), formerly the KGB, has unearthed all of Obama’s secrets that have been kept from the American people and Putin is now blackmailing Obama into full cooperation with Russia and their interests worldwide.

Yes, I'm sure they now have Obama’s real birth certificate, his various foreign passports, college transcripts, college grades, and photos of Obama and his homosexual lovers in “compromising” positions.

Putin now controls Obama, and, in doing so, he controls U.S. Foreign Policy.

“President Obama’s belated (by six months) acknowledgment that Syria’s regime has used chemical weapons effectively forced his decision (to inform the public) on Thursday (that he has for at least a year been planning) to arm the opposition.”

Bolton is a hypocrite.

He may be right about WHAT Russia is doing.

However, as why at this time Syria is seeking greater military support from Russia, Bolton is being less than half truthful by his silence on the origins of current events.

Those origins began a decade ago when Bolton was in the U.S. administration. They entailed an alliance of the U.S., some other western nations & the Saudis and the Gulf States to engineer “regime change” in Syria. It was a pattern much like the 1979-1989 arrangements to oust the Russians from Afghanistan. We all know how that came out - Al Queda, the Mujahadeen and the Taliban were the chief beneficiaries.

Like in Afghanistan between 1979-1989, our intentions became entwined in objectives of those who actually had the boots on the ground and the core leadership of an “opposition” working on an agenda, in the long run, that was, and in this case is, not ours.

Minus our actions, “secret” as the mostly were, beginning more than a decade ago and continuing non-stop under Obama, no externally created, funded and fortified “oppostion” in Syria would have put Assad in a position where he would have obtained the need for greater military cooperation with Russia.

Is Assad a “dictator”? Yes. So are the autocrats in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States - the primary local backers attempting the Sunni putsch in Sytria.

Was there many reasons for the U.S. to oppose Assad in many different ways, primarily geopolitically & financially? Yes.

Was supporting the Sunni-Islamist putsch misnamed a “civil war” in Syria one of those good reasons for us? No.

Bolton was “present at the creation” of the events that eventually bore fruit as the “Syrian opposition” (a product of our work) and now he bemoans the fact that those events have drawn Syria into heavier military cooperation with Russia.

He’s a fool and a hypocrite and like Afghanistan in 1979-1989 a “regime change” scenario backed and supported by the U.S. has made our “good intentions” (and the tools we will put behind them) under the ultimate control of so-called “allies” that will turn on us later on.

Bolton and his friends are dangerous and duplicitous. Thank God that is finally being understood at FR.

The tragedy is that there is no intrinsic reason at this point for the US and Russia to be on opposite sides. Russia is tough and opportunistic, while we are pusillanimous and ideologically hamstrung. If we had a President instead of a Usurper, the world stage would be seeing a much different scenario played out.
