This was a hit during my brief career as a radio star in Seattle in the 1972-4 span. I can remember well playing it at KING in the middle of the night.

In 1980, I went up to Eugene (OR) to help Andy Barber program an oldies weekend at KASH, where he was the Program Director. (I worked harder that weekend than I did at my regular job as a computer programmer!) One night we went out to a club and saw Maria Muldaur do a show. She was pretty good, even if she only had one real hit.

A few years ago somebody called in to the local NPR’s Sunday night lesbian music hour and requested ‘Midnight at the Oasis’ - - and the young woman DJ who had obviously never heard the song played it! I laughed my ass off.
