Whether we’re talking Russia, China or the U.S., when a nation imposes its military power for purely economic reasons without moral authority, it deserves the ass-kicking it gets. And we are the aggressor in this match.
Obama trying to convince everyone that 150 innocents were killed with chemical weapons, and therefore we need to have a no-fly zone with border troops on the ready is a violation of everything America stands for. Assad, for whatever he is, has a right to maintain his nation’s security.

I’d rather have troops on the ground than create another 1980’s Afghanistan. Then again, i’d rather not support the syrian rebels, nor Assad at all. I’d rather have some sort of Western backed, non-Islamic monarch who’ll rule the country strictly but with respect for human rights. That’s the only way things are going to change.
