Today, June 14th is DAY #5 of the scheduled State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Continuing jury selection. Yesterday the Court continued its preliminary questioning of prospective jurors, moving through 10 candidates by the end of the day.
The biggest event of the day, however, occurred shortly after the lunch recess when Judge Nelsons announced from the bench that she would be ordering the sequestration of the jury for the duration of the trial,.
She based this decision on the fact that both parties agreed the trial was likely to take two to four weeks, as opposed to the four to six weeks that many had anticipated.
It appeared that she had been inclined to sequester the jury if the sequestration period was not to be too long. With the agreement on the likely shorter duration of the trial, the balance swung in favor of sequestration.

I saw Angela Corey sitting in the front.
The video shows Angela Corey’s face as E81 tells the prosecutor that she feels that she will walk out of court with a target on her back. Corey sits there emotionless as a potential juror testifies to juror intimidation and she is not moved in any way.
19 pjs coming back on Monday
It looks like E81 is gone —

Potential juror G-29, black female, maybe 20s, listens to/got most info about case from The Philips Phile on Real Radio 104.1. @philipsphile
Tony Pipitone:
BDLR: Tell me about this Phillip file?
G-29: “I believe he was probably more favorable towards Mr. Martin.”

Some Jury Selection Reality: I tried high-stakes civil jury cases around the country for 42 years. Through those decades of jury selection I learned a fact that is extremely politically incorrect.
“That fact is: Potential jurors who are liberal frequently have an agenda and lie to get on juries when they believe they can strike a blow in favor of their agenda. When, during voir dire, it is clear that such jurors likely have a bias they usually deny that they have a bias and swear, falsely, that they can treat both sides equally, and that neither party starts out with any advantage in their mind. That frequently results in them not being struck for cause.
“On the other hand, potential jurors who are conservative and who may have a bias that could impact their view of the case will admit their bias and will admit that they are not absolutely certain that they can overcome that bias, which results in them being struck for cause.
“The result of all of this is that the liberal potential jurors with a bias, but who deny it, can be removed only by use of limited peremptory challenges, and the ability to do that is itself limited in the situation in which such jurors are members of some protected demographic group.
“On the other hand, the conservative jurors are struck for cause. The overall result is that more liberals than conservatives are on juries.

I never understood how this became a racial cause celebre. Zimmerman is hispanic, so the media declared that he is a “white hispanic” so they could set up that false narrative of white racist kills innocent black boy.
If not for the bias of the media and their pushing this case, none of this would be happening. The initial police conclusion of self defense would have been the end of this. Instead, certain liberal race baiters decided to push the case, push for a special prosecutor to indict Zimmerman, etc.
And, if Zimmerman is found not guilty, or hung jury, the liberal outrage could result in a rerun of the Rodney King riots. To them, such a verdict would mean that American justice is racist and bigoted. The facts of this case don’t matter to the liberals. All that matters is scoring their debate points on MSNBC.

They have 23 returning on Tuesday. The target is 40 from today and Monday.
When it first broke, I think that because of his name, they thought Zimmerman was Jewish and White.
AMEN!!
O.J. Simpson ring a bell?
BUMP!
This poor potential juror, sounds like a kid, is so hesitant, can’t speak a coherent sentence... every once in a while he makes sense. But I am almost afraid he might burst into tears. I hope it’s just nervousness.
Sounds to me like you understand media bias perfectly.
Aren’t there any elderly people down there in Floriduh that can pass muster or has Obamacare already taken care of them.
No elderly men black or white on this panel thus far in a state that is full of them.
George Zimmerman trial: 23 jurors questioned this week asked to return Tuesday

Very strange. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark. Seems like they narrowed their juror search based on certain parameters benefiting the state, (I.E., middle aged women, African Americans, and people from blue states relatively new to Florida.)
Fashion Report of the day:
Rene Stutzman:
Angela Corey arrives @ #Zimmerman trial. Wearing red. Had been in black all week. Sits in front row of gallery. #Trayvon.
Next:
G81 — black male
Tony Pipitone:
G81 is an African American who watches @msnbc , @CNN and @FoxNews and saw the #Zimmerman #Trayvon case “pop up” on @Yahoo
Pictures that he remembers of the case: Zimmerman mugshot and Trayvon in burgundy shirt
