Illegal immigration is not as much an issue in Wisconsin as it is in the coastal states and the Southwest. This bill will translate to more Democrat voters, maybe not in Wisconsin so much, but decidedly so in Arizona, Texas, and Florida. The net effect of the 1986 immigration bill was a major factor in tipping California, once a bellwether state, into a Democrat lock. The net effect of this new bill will be the same, and you can count on Florida and maybe Arizona being permanent losses to the GOP and Texas moving into "purple" status.

Ryan couldn't even carry his home state last year. He is no one conservatives should look up to. Neither is Rand Paul, whose state is not much affected by illegal immigration. As for Marco Rubio, he is undercutting his own base in Florida.

KY is chock full of illegals, esp. during soybean and tobacco harvest. That is the only reason to explain Paul's insane stance on this bill.

We are getting to the point where every state is a border state. Here in VA we have turned purple and will be blue in a decade thanks to immigration. And NC is not far behind.

Illegals get representation without being able to vote since their mere presence in large numbers causes the Democratic districts to become divided up into more districts increasing the number of Democrat districts. These kinds of districts are called *rotten boroughs*.
