Michael Savage: ACLU turns on Obama
WND ^ | 6-7-13 | Dr. Michael Savage

Posted on 06/08/2013 5:37:43 PM PDT by dynachrome

“Even the ACLU is shocked” by the Obama administration’s secret grab of phone records of millions of Americans, says talk-radio host Michael Savage.

He noted on his nationally syndicated show Friday night that while Obama has characterized the government’s access to the data as a “modest encroachment” on privacy, an ACLU senior policy analyst called it a “gross privacy invasion.”

Recalling the warnings in his “Beware the Government-Media Complex” speech to the Commonwealth Club of California in 2000, Savage told his listeners the NSA’s snooping is “the biggest scandal of your entire life.”

“I’ve always run my life as if I’m listened in on,” he said.

Is the ACLU afraid that someday there might be a Republican President again?

Otherwise, you would expect them to applaud Obama's move to make the USA more like East Germany.

For a taste of our future, see the movie The Lives of Others.

“Even the ACLU is pretending to be shocked”

There, fixed it. The ACLU has known for four years now that this Administration has turned their attention towards domestic threats. They openly announced it back in April 2009. They just never figured that they would look so bad in doing it.

The War on Terror is over, much to the ACLU's satisfaction. We'll see how long their shock last once everyone figures out that the War on Terror has been replaced by the War on TEA Party Pro-Lifer Supporters of Israel. The NSA surveillance is simply an extension of the IRS strong-arming and the AP spying.

The funny thing is that I think liberals are in most immediate danger from him.

Those who have worshiped at his feet are turning on him.

The ACLU has more reason than just protecting the Bill of Rights. When, not if, the communists turn on their supporters (and they will), the ACLU has more traitorous skeletons in their closet that could be used against them. Read the history of Russia with Lenin/Stalin, Cambodia, Cuba, etc. and in each case they started eliminating their biggest supporters (and future threats) after consolidating power. Those lawyers, professors, businessmen, politicians, police, etc. were the first to be re-educated, imprisoned or killed.

Yep, because they know the most...

I think this is what has happened to some of our SEALS, sorry to say.

So both the political right and the political left are horrified by this intrusion. What congressmen and senators are going to create laws to reverse it? If nothing else, write the bill and get a recorded up or down vote on it, so we can see what senators and congressmen are in favor of spying on the American people.

....let's get a recorded up or down vote, so we can see what senators and congressmen are in favor of spying on the American people.....

That would be interesting.

Eric Holder was asked at a Senate hearing if the DOJ was monitoring phones of members of Congress. Holder obfuscated--- saying that he'd be glad to answer in the "appropriate forum."

The Senator who asked the question, Kirk (R-Il), responded, "The correct answer would be to say, 'No, we stayed within our lane, and I am assuring you we did not spy on members of Congress.'"

Holder could also have replied that any monitoring of phones in the Capitol could be done only in certain cases--such as evidence of treason---and that the DOJ is compelled to inform members of Congress.

Holder did not do that.

Clearly the DOJ did monitor phones used by members of Congress. If such monitoring hadn't occurred, then Holder could have just said "no."

Holder's not even mildly ashamed... In Chicago 'sensitive information' is released before elections to knock out opponents. Holder's sitting on the Mother Lode of knock out information and he knows it...No way he'll give that us.
