So, you’re using Yahoo and youtube.com as sources.

You are ignoring FOX NEWS and MEDIA MATTERS.

There is no credible source on either of those proving that Stanley Armour and Madelyn Payne Dunham were communists.

Would it be fair to describe them as liberal activists or socialists ?

There is no credible proof that Obama Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham are the parents of the man serving in the White House as our President,

I'd have to agree.

so whether they were communists, or not, doesn’t concern me.

Which brings up the question, why are you so concerned about the claim they might have been communists?

Or are you just concerned I am making a claim I can't back up ? I posted that as a hypothetical line of thought, and explanation for how Obama came to 'be'. It may not be true.

Why did Stanley Ann run off and leave Barry (if that is his name) behind with Grandma and Grandpa? Why was 'grandma' involved with 'microloans' and are they part of a 'socialist' or 'communist' plan ?

Why did 'grandma' take trips to Indonesia?

Provide a bona fide source for you claim that Stanley and Madelyn Dunham were communists.

The only 'true' bona fide source would be 'grandma' or 'grandpa'. I guess that leaves me in a lurch.

Do you have an explanation for the tangled web they weaved, that Stanley Ann weaved, that Barry himself has weaved ? I wish I knew and HAD complete proof. Until then, you and I are discussing 'theories'. I do appreciate your participating, and your responses, as always.

Based on the assumption that your interest in the communist issue is to find the truth, whatever that may be, I have kept searching.

Samuel ‘Joe the Plumber’ Wurzelbacher says Barack Obama’s parents were communists
http://www.politifact.com/ohio/statements/2012/apr/27/samuel-wurzelbacher/samuel-joe-plumber-wurzelbacher-says-barack-obamas/

When asked for evidence that Obama’s parents were communists, Wurzelbacher’s campaign spokesman Reece Collins supplied a 2007 Chicago Tribune article about Obama’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham. The article stated that Dunham attended a Washington state high school where a teacher asked students to read “The Communist Manifesto” and the school board chairman told the House Un-American Activities Subcommittee that he had been a communist Party member. A classmate of Dunham’s called her “a fellow traveler,” and claimed “We were liberals before we knew what liberals were.”

Harvard University historian James T. Kloppenberg, who wrote a 2010 book on Obama’s intellectual roots called “Reading Obama: Dreams, Hope, and the American Political Tradition,” says he’s confident that Obama’s parents were not communists.

“Obama’s mother was left of center, as was his father,” Kloppenberg wrote in an email. “But I found no evidence to indicate that either of them ever affiliated with any Communist movements.”

Likewise, Cincinnati native David Mendell, a former Chicago Tribune political writer who authored a biography of Obama titled “Obama: From Promise to Power,” also says there’s no evidence to back up Wurzelbacher’s assertion that Obama’s parents were communists.

Son of Marx

In truth, Obama is not really the son of any religion. His father was brought up as a Muslim but became an atheist. His mother was a self-proclaimed atheist who attended a leftist Unitarian Universalist church as a young woman. His maternal ancestors, Stanley and Madelyn Dunham, who were not practicing Christians, had multiple ties to the Communist Party USA.

1956: They moved to Mercer Island so that 13-year old Ann could attend the high school that had just opened, Mercer Island was then “a rural, idyllic place,” quiet, and politically conservative. As a suburb, Mercer Island was still in its infancy. The 1950 census counted about 5,000 people, almost all white, but Mercer Island High School was a hotbed of radical indoctrination with ties to the Communist Party. Some parents protested the school’s politics, but not the Dunhams. They had abandoned their conservative religious ties and began attending a Unitarian church which the locals called ‘the little Red church on the hill.’

Mercer Island High School was a hotbed of pro-Marxist radical teachers. John Stenhouse, board member, told the House Un-American Activities Subcommittee that he had been a member of the Communist Party USA and this school has a number of Marxists on its staff. Two teachers at this school, Val Foubert and Jim Wichterman, both Frankfurt School style Marxists, taught a critical theory curriculum to students which included; rejection of societal norms and questioning authority, attacks on Christianity, the traditional family, and assigned readings by Karl Marx. The hallway between Foubert’s and Wichterman classrooms were called ‘anarchy ally.’

Barack Obama: Red Diaper Baby
http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/10/barack_obama_red_diaper_baby_1.html

His grandfather Stanley Armour Dunham arranged Obama’s mentorship by Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis.

Done bouncing around Kansas, California and Texas in the years after World War Two, Stanley and Madelyn in 1955 picked up and relocated 2,000 miles from Texas to Seattle. The next year they relocated to Mercer Island specifically so their daughter, Obama’s future mother, Stanley Ann Dunham could attend Mercer Island high school.

What was special about Mercer Island High School? The Chicago Tribune explains:

“In 1955, the chairman of the Mercer Island school board, John Stenhouse, testified before the House Un-American Activities Subcommittee that he had been a member of the Communist Party.”

Starting in the 1930s the Communist Party promoted opportunities for ‘inter-racial’ relationships among its members. The Communists could monopolize their social ties due to the intense social pressures created by the Democrats’ system of Jim Crow segregation. The social stigma against what segregationists such as Tennessee Senator Al Gore Sr. called ‘miscegenation’ helped keep people in the orbit of the CPUSA. As future Obama mentor Frank Marshall Davis would explain in his 1968 book “Sex Rebel: Black”, CPUSA recruitment burgeoned in part due to the sexual opportunities the Communists created.

Upon arriving in Honolulu, they became fast friends with Frank Marshall Davis who had been a columnist for the ILWU’s communist-line Honolulu Record newspaper. Davis had at one point chaired the Honolulu Seven defense committee.

Because Smith Street was the closest Hawaii had to a black ghetto, it became a focus of work for the Communist Party in Hawaii. When attempting to lead a hostile CPUSA takeover of the NAACP in the late 1940s, Davis pointed to Smith Street as an example of segregation in Hawaii. And just as Davis described joining the CPUSA in “Sex Rebel: Black”, he also described interracial group sex and voyeurism in the back room of a Smith Street bar he called the “Green Goose”

Obama describes Davis as playing a very intimate role in his life from age 9 to 18. When Barack returned to Honolulu from Indonesia in 1970, grandpa almost immediately took Barack to meet Davis. Davis was to serve as a father figure to the young Obama for much of his youth and adolescence. In light of the Communists’ bizarre focus on Smith Street, Obama’s description of meeting Davis for the first time at age 9 or 10 in 1970 or 1971 takes on new meaning:

In essence, when the young Obama returned from Indonesia, Gramps set about teaching him the CPUSA version of what it meant to be black. That is why Obama was introduced to Davis and that is why gramps took him to Smith Street until Obama finally stopped accepting the initiations.

The Mystery Of Barack Obama Continues
http://www.westernjournalism.com/exclusive-investigative-reports/the-mystery-of-barack-obama-continues/

But we also know that Obama’s mother and grandparents associated with Communist Party leaders such as Frank Marshall Davis, a man who, according to Obama’s book, Dreams from my Father, was his main mentor during much of his Hawaiian boyhood (although Obama tried to disguise his identity in his book). During the Cold War, Davis was named by congressional investigators as a key member of a secretive pro-Soviet networked that existed in Hawaii at that time.
