“By appointing Rice to NSA job means she can invoke executive privilege and doesn’t have to testify on Capitol Hill,”

Bullshit.

You cannot retroactively "confer" Executive Privilege to someone for knowledge acquired prior to accepting a position that is subject to that privilege ...

So now Fox is covering for Zero. I see. Earth to Fox: Susan Rice was not the National Security Adviser when Benghazi went down, so any claim of executive privilege with which to withhold her testimony is completely without merit.

You can if you don't have an effective opposition and a corrupt justice department that will allow you to delay or prevent any resolution for years.

Or as Mark Levin said yesterday, she was appointed “to keep her quiet”.

Susan Rice walks like a linebacker or has a tallywhacker, I swear either she wants to be a dude, was one or is somewhere inbetween.

Benghazi was always the big one. Remember, it was the administration that setup the release of information about the IRS and AP when the heat was rising on Benghazi in the Congressional hearings. Does anyone have to wonder why the air is out of Issa’a balloon lately?

As far as her exerting executive privilege, I would think that only applies to her time as NSA, not as Ambassador. She still has to answer to that time-frame. I would disagree with KT. I would further say that KT and the rest of the GOPe do not want Rice testifying anymore than does Obama because they wanted the gun running as much as Obama did but for entirely different reasons.

Why in the world would McCain make that trip? I would wager that he is in just as much hot water as is Clinton. They have to sell the idea that sending weapons to Syria is a good thing so when the gun running from Libya finally hits the fan, they can say it was justified. But, since McCain was also involved in getting arms to the Libyan Rebels in cahoots with Clinton’s State Department, they violated the Arms Export Control Act, Boland Amendment which was enacted by a Democrat Congress to keep the Reagan administration from sending arms to the Sandinista fighting against Communist dictator Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua.

So now we have both sides in cahoots to serve their Military Industrial Complex masters who violated the law, but it was not so much the MIC that Obama was trying to pacify but his buddies from the house of Saud and the Muslim Brotherhood.

I’m not surprised. The lengths they’ll go to don’t surprise me anymore.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama goes out to space so he doesn’t have to appear in front of Congress.

Judge Napolitano was on F&F this a.m. and said basically that - she can claim executive privilege for her NSA work as a President Advisor on nat’l security, but she cannot claim it prior to that time.

My thoughts are that she may try to claim it and see if the Pubbies push back and/or go to court (doubtful).

By her own words she has damned herself a liar for hire... a political whore of the lowest caliber. The smoking gun was in Benghazi... patience grasshopper.

Wait until late fall and demand she appear before committees to testify. Obama requesting executive privilege just dredges the whole thing up again and the same question remains: Who denied completely available and overwhelming aid over an 11 hour attack? Who let Ambassador Stevens die?

I’d toss in, who appointed an openly homosexual US Ambassador to a Muslim country? That’s just me. You need to kill an idea not just among the hoi polloi, but in the minds of the elites as well.

This is a win-win...

They are so frightened that they did a Bill Clinton by picking another scandal that they thought wasn’t as damaging. They “apologized” for the targeting of conservative groups and thought that would cause a stir then go away before it erupted as badly as it has.

It might have just gone away, if the AP scandal didn’t break. That got their allies in the press all bent out of their already crooked shape and they then latched on to the triad scandals.

Bozo will probably slip by unpunished for his crimes, but he is damaged. Will it be enough to assure a Republican controlled Senate and House? We still have to overcome the Chicago style vote stealing machine.

Remember Jamie Gorelick, the architect of the security wall which ushered in 9-11? She was appointed to be part of the questioning panel to avoid answering any questions about her role.

Benghazi is the big one. Believe it.

Oh I belive it ok, but nothing is going to happen. This clown will only be removed from office one way.

Also from Jennifer Rubin in Washington Post:

"I spoke with four attorneys yesterday, all of whom have served at one time or another in the Justice Department. The consensus was that the president can assert that the national security adviser may not be required to testify before Congress on matters relating to advice to him and her responsibilities as national security adviser. But a subpoena strictly limited to past matters relating to her duties as U.N. ambassador, a Senate-confirmed position, would be fair game. Another noted, “They could subpoena her even if she left the government.”

Meanwhile- MILLIONS of Verizon cell phone users are being tracked by the NSA???

Another reason I don’t have a cell phone.

Who ever signed that court order should be taken straight to jail.

How so?

Have I had an off day or two? Or have I forgotten a sarcasm tag here and there?
