My old aunt (in her 80's) was harassed by the IRS for $200 for nearly a year.
Her accountant said she did not owe anything, could prove it and would stand by her.
I stepped in and saw there was no problem, but they kept sending harassing letters.
My aunt, not wanting any problems, just sent them a check.
How many old people are harassed by these bastards every year?

He began the vote-rigging programs that Chicago is so famous for and managed to usher in communist Harold Washington as Mayor.
Valerie Jarrett brought those same techniques to DC. Remember, even Bill Daley couldn't stand the political nature of this WH and quit shortly after being appointed.
Read between the lines. The RATs are saying Bush administration did this and that, so
what they are actually saying is that Obama Admin ordered the IRS to do this and the RATs are
looking at this fiasco as payback, or justification. Neither payback or justification are true though.
This IRS audit and targeting was ALL Obama's ways of Chicago community organization actions
as seen in the past when he went after Companies to shake them down. BoA comes to mind.
Both, and I repeat ""BOTH"" parties are complicit in this current scandal, The Dems for
doing it, and the Republicans for ignoring and allowing it to happen because of both leaderships'
distain for conservatives and their Fears of the constitution and the over reaching powers
they so badly yearn for.
There is no way in HELL the Republican machine didn't know about this, including and especially
McCain and Romney. I might give Ryan a pass for being a patsy, maybe.

I deal with them on a regular basis so you have no idea how much I despise them. They are so freaking clueless that no one would believe it!
The stories I could tell. They are more like nightmares for the people I represent. And you will find no one more arrogant than the people in the IRS (unless it is Obama himself). They have a huge chip on their shoulders too.
If you think they don't look at whatever the hell they want on your tax returns you would be sadly mistaken. Who is going to stop them?
I want the IRS closed down for good. It is used for political targeting and they damn well know it. Just like any government office where they can get personal information on you.

I was really disappointed in Chairman Camp today. I have lost confidence in him. The Rats steamrolled through the hearing with nary a peep from Camp. He should have strongly rebutted and/or cut off all the sidebar stuff about 501 status and kept them on a short leash after it became apparent what they were doing.
While the Dems are calling for non-political arguments,
they all make political statements and should be called out
on national TV as it occurs. But then they truly are trying to distract
so I'm unsure how they (D) should be handled.
Please see my response (Post #4) on another thread today regarding the "responsibility of citizens" such as those wonderful individual citizens who spoke truth to the dishonest attempts of Democrats on the Committee, who were more interested in protecting their Party leader than in preserving liberty for future generations, including that of their own descendants!

If they "do not," then history will record their action as a betrayal of the trust of all the brave men and women who have been willing to sacrifice everything for freedom's cause--from 1776 to now.
May they feel the heavy cloak of responsibility they bear for the freedom of those future generations, and may their opinions recall those ideas of individual liberty so beautifully articulated by the Framers of the Constitution they are sworn to uphold.

They know that badgering works...people pay to just to get them off their backs...and they likely know exactly how much revenue they can expect by that badgering.
He let them bloviate and show how far in the tank they are willing to go to protect their asshole who stoled the election with the help of the IRS among other agencies.
