I was diagnosed with lung cancer last year.

Did you have symptoms or was it discovered during a regular checkup and screening?

It was discovered as a result of a case of bronchitis that wasn’t responding to treatment. My doc ordered a chest X-ray, and the darn thing was there. The came the CAT Scan, PET Scan, and biopsy. My oncologist didn’t fool around. Since there was no metastasis or lymph node problem, he and the surgeon said “Out with the darn thing!”

I think chest X-rays should be part of annual physicals. Early detection is so critical.
