I don't remember the particulars of this case (abuse/neglect?) but I worry that if people can have their kids taken away for reprehensible beliefs then what happens when Christian beliefs are deemed reprehensible?

I agree and that is why I was sympathetic to these people before. People believe all kind of crazy things and who really is to judge.

However, now he just looks like a crazy person who cares more about himself and “acting out” than he does about getting his kid back.

There are allegations of domestic violence, which the state will never discuss because that would break “confidentiality.”

If it’s a crime, prosecute it and make it public record. If there’s not, it’s a hard case to make that the children should be taken away, even from parents that I personally think are loathsome.

The investigation started because the father asked a supermarket to frost a cake with some Nazi name, and the supermarket was concerned for the children and reported him.
