Even on this thread you can see that many people were absorbed by it, it was quite effective in that way...
It worked so well many "conservatives" on this thread don't even realize it worked. It subtly yet successfully chipped away, one tiny bit at a time, at their morals. Today they still think of themselves as "conservative", but conservatism today has been watered down to the point where mainstream America allows all sorts of atrocious behaviors by government.
I used to laugh, but on Archie's side. I knew what the Hollyweird knuckleheads were trying to do; it's just more obvious now that every line was engineered to achieve the goals of the establishment's agenda of making statism palatable to Americans.

I wonder how many of these people grew up on Sesame Street and PBS, and Ted Turner kiddie cartoons indoctrinating them.
