The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) declined Friday afternoon to meet a Senate Finance Committee deadline for answering detailed questions about the origins of the IRS scandal. The questions had been submitted jointly nearly two weeks ago by Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) and Ranking Member Orrin Hatch (R-UT).
In a joint statement to Breitbart News, Baucus and Hatch said:
Its disappointing that the IRS failed to produce any of the documents requested by the Committee.
"This is an agency that revolves around making the American taxpayer meet hard deadlines each and every year when they file their taxes, oftentimes penalizing those that are late.
The IRS needs to do much better.

Hi, welcome to (fill in show name). Today, we had planned to discuss the IRS kerfuffle, but we've made a last minute decision to cover the Oklahoma tornadoes.
Now, panel, how do you think the victims of these storms feel? Do you think they are sad? Do you think they want president obama to rebuild their homes? What do you think they will want to do about global warming?
Before we answer those questions, lets see a video of a crying mother holding her crying child in front of what is left of their home. How can Conservatives be in favor of increasing global warming after watching that heart breaking mother? have those people no hearts??
NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!
Absolutely not should the military intervene.
Ideally this is a civilian government. When we allow the military to come to rule we may as well give them the axe to cut our heads off. The military is to protect us, not to rule.
I was born and raised in a Marine family and I have the highest regard for those that serve.
I can understand your sentiment to return us to those times we remember growing up, and how they’ve morphed into the twisted times we live in nowadays. I miss them also.
Oh, I get it. American citizens are supposed to pony up lickety split when they request documents or face ruin.
This is OUR government, you are not immune to our questioning.
Tick tick tick tick...
If the IRS refuses to comply Janet will send her storm troopers over to protect them... and then what?
Special prosecutor. Now.
Much ado about nothing ....
I won't stop until one is appointed. I've got to know that I've done everything I can peacefully.
When is the last time some big government agency or anyone else connected with scandals over the last 5 years has been punished for contempt or anything else? No reason for them to worry if history is a factor.
Not one govt type lost their job over the first 9/11.
That was while repubs were in the majority.
I think that all these scandals going on is to keep everyone distracted while the dims sneak blanket amnesty by the American people. Once that is done, everything else is moot.
see my tag line.
This goes to the very top of this Administration: It is Obama’s and the rest of his ilk at the top. Obama will throw anyone under the bus he needs to in order to keep his power and position. He has not thrown the IRS under the bus because he knows that will cause those in the IRS to start talking. They are not going down for Obama.
I believe that Obama has helped create such a web with so many tentacles that it's unlikely adhering to what's left of the Constitution (as far as the Congress and voters go), will not get us where we need to be. It will take an unusually strong and prolonged social revolution to make any positive changes - we're just waiting to bleed out.
BTW - your tag line wasn't there.
Zero out their salaries and benefits until the info is delivered. Don’t retro it either.
