Used to live in an apartment building in Arlington Va that was very popular with State Department, and various intelligence agency people ~ ours and theirs ~ simply because the builder used steel lathe as a scaffolding for hand plastered walls.

No, wouldn't stop a round, but it'd slow it down a lot, and deflect it.

Steel building frame construction is very dangerous.

If the building catches fire, the steel framing collapses at temps that wouldn’t affect wood framing much for 15 - 20 minutes.
