Hippies were well established in 1965 when the oldest boomer was only a teen, do you think that the 1 year old to 19 year olds are running America right now, the culture, the courts, the legislation, the institutions, etc. ?

Weren't the vast majority of hippies teens? I would agree that the musicians at the time were older, but those who listened to them were pretty much the kids no?

My mom was born in 1947 and she never denies her hippie heritage.

I'll admit I only have first-hand knowledge of Abba and The Village People. But I always thought that the hippies usually ran away from home at about 15-18. Probably negative stereotyping on my part.
