To: Lonesome in Massachussets

I can personally attest to your statement. There are people that will believe AGW to the end of time. No matter what happens, it’s AGW. Too many storms, AGW. Too few storms, it’s AWG again. Temps to hot or too cold, that darn AGW. It’s almost like playing a game invented by a 5 year old. Every time you start winning the rules change. There could be glaciers in Miami and I know a guy that would still believe it was a result of AGW.

People have to believe in something. When they abandon the God of Israel and Rome, they do not believe in nothing, they believe anything.

To abandon AGWT would require them to question their judgment and intelligence. People will fight more violently to maintain their self image than to survive. Their self image is fraught with the notion of moral and intellectual superiority and anything that threatens that element of their self image must be violently resisted.
