Not allowed to defend property?. Complete tosh. Not only is that not true (where did this US myth start?), I KNOW it to be untrue because I was myself the victim of a 2008 burglary and attack, where I used force to defend myself and my property, as well as three family members.

Life for farmer who shot burglar

Farmer who shot intruder walks free

Last year Martin had his life sentence reduced to five years on appeal.

So Tony Martin did 5 years for a case that should have been dropped or had a jury nullification.

As far as all types of homicide and violent felonies, if you subtracted those crimes committed by the USA's two largest minorities from our total, I doubt that there is a significant difference in those rates per 100,000 between our respective populations.

We have been through the Martin case 1000 times on this site and I have explained why he was convicted. I have also stated every time that I opposed then and now his trial and conviction.

That case is the exception to the rule: British people have the right to self defence, always have despite the myth. In fact, the law is now stronger FOR the attacked/burglarised.
Even the useless PC Labour govt strengthened it.

By that argument, I could take black Britons and Muslims out as well. And ours would drop. Mind you, still plenty of white thugs.
