You are torturing the technicalities and timeline of an anolgoy, all the while missing the main point (on purpose) because the main point is not convenient to your self righteous legalastic no-grace rant. So to play your game and torture your metaphor more, the thief did repent, but not until the last moment - yet the God who abides outside the constraints of time as we understand it knew this from the beginning....

Yes, I do apologize, I just find the “if it’s not all bad it’s good” lukewarm arguments to be so dangerous.

I do believe I made it clear I am a heathen in constant need of repentance, so, that will be enough of the self righteousness accusations determined to shut out argument, which, by the way, is the very argument they use in taking over good institutions like the BSA.

And, by saying the good thief is good because he made it to the point of death and then repented, that is not a recommended way of handling it, according to theologians and clergy and common sense. He is considered lucky to hav had the chance. it’s not always the case.
