Savage started it by ridiculing Levin, because he thought he ripped off his shtick. He may have, they both are very similar at times.
Savage has always been bitter, because he was never “in” the Rush family like Hannity, Levin and others.
Savage takes pride in that he made his audience on his own, and those guys didn’t help get him a start.
I thought they all ripped off Bob Grant’s schtick myself. And who knows who Grant ripped off . . .
