Drinking age was probably 18. This would have been 1979 or so. The school probably had a senior smoking lounge as well.
Only seniors could smoke in your school? I have never been a smoker, but I could have smoked at school from 7th grade on.
I graduated in 1977 in Arkansas. It was 21 by then to drink but we did have a senior smoking area under a tree in front of the school.
