I find many liberals don’t know what TEA stands for- most think it is just a reference to the Boston Tea Party. I think this was deliberate on the part of liberals in power and the media. It is easier to get folks riled up against some “racist” “hate” group than folks that are protesting taxes. My liberal Boston neighbor had no idea what TEA stood for and had all sorts of weird ideas about those “dangerous” people. It would be funny, if it wasn’t so serious.

At some point conservatives have to realize that to most folks out there conservatives and liberals are just like brand A and B at the store. If brand A sells itself better and brand B keeps quiet then guess which brand sheeple will most likely follow?

"Taxed Enough Already" came later. I remember the movement receiving its name from the CNBC host, Rick Santelli.
