During CNN’s live coverage of the deadly Oklahoma tornado on Monday night, host Piers Morgan and Bill Nye speculated on the possible role of climate change in the disaster.
“As a scientist, when you hear about the size, scale, power, devastation of this tornado, what does it tell you about the ongoing debate about climate change?” Morgan asked his guest.
Nye said climate change has to be considered after a catastrophic weather event like the devastating tornado in Oklahoma. He also claimed 10 of the last 12 years are the “warmest years recorded.”(continued)

There’s nothing new here.
Tornadoes have been flattening prairie towns and crops for as long as they’ve existed.
Charles Ingalls lost at least one crop every season on Little House on the Prairie to tornadoes, hail storms and the occasional swarms of locusts.
I had to turn the tv off last night after seeing what happened in Moore, OK, it was just heartbreaking.
Do these fools have any sense of common sense?
I’m thinking there’s a climate change coming.
One that will leave the socialists of all stripes hanging in the icy wind.
No these fools do not have any sense of decency or common sense. Liberals use any event which happens to push liberalism. In this case, the liberal cause is global warming. So, they are pushing global warming from this tragedy. Ditto Hurricane Sandy. Sandy Hook was used to push gun control. Three Mile Island and Fukishima were used to push the anti nuclear power agenda. And so it goes..........

Btw, this was an EF-4....not even the most powerful tornado....and as far as I know the first major one of the season.
The twister was caused by Unicorns. Republicans and their ‘scientists’ want large cash grants to study Unicorns. Anyone who disagrees will be investigated by the IRS

I am sick of people trying to take advantage of events like this.
These folks forget that the months of March to May is when the midwest/midsouth are prone to tornados.
I have met Bill Nye, by accident, and he is a pompous jerk. My 10 year old points out his faulty logic. He is a “celebrity scientist”.. nothing more than a scrawny, ugly, nerdy, homo celebrity.
No one should listen to this guy.
You can never use isolated weather events on a microscale as evidence for macroscale activity.
