Gadzooks! In the good old days of the mid to late 1960s... the Jets were fun to watch as they had enough Texas players such as Don Maynard and George Sauer to be referred to as 'the University of Texas at New York.'

I had originally been a fire breathing Colt fan from way back in the 1950s when the outcast 1952 Dallas Texans NFL team folded and got reborn in Baltimore. Yet after the Cowboys came into the league, I transferred all my football verve to "My Boys."

Yet in the 1969 when the upstart Jets took on the co-called unbeatable Colts, I could not help but root for old Joe Wylie "We're Number One!" Namath and his Texas cohorts to show Baltimore which side of the bread the butter was.

Now with schmucks like Oday Aboushi on the roster, it is sad to see how far... the Jets have fallen--

But then again, look at how far... the Presidency has fallen--

LOL! Agree with all you said there and always enjoy the Bender embellishments to your postings! Early Jets did have some good Texas players. ....NFL, overall, probably now has more Muslims than even the NBA.
