Fun from MSNBCs early afternoon news bloc of programming via Noah Rothman. The logic is ironclad and inexorable: Doug Shulman, appointed IRS commissioner by Bush in March 2008, was so fiercely loyal to his Beltway Republican masters that he decided to risk his career to kneecap conservative insurgents nonprofits in 2010
even though Bush had left office more than a year before and the GOP establishment he represented was widely loathed by pretty much everyone in America. Oh, and even though (again per Rothman) Shulman himself has donated to the DNC in the past. Say it with me, guys: This. Is. A. Republican. Scandal.
That’s not as stupid as it sounds.
So, the IRS still needs to be disbanded.
The IRS still needs to be disbanded.
Nope. If I wasnt aware of Obama’s Nazi tendencies, I could easily see the GOP doing it. Look what they did in the primaries.
Hell they still might be involved.
This happened under obamas watch.
Put that in your hemp pipe and smoke it ya dang bunch of libs.....
We will know, for sure, whether the GOP had some involvement in the IRSGate....if they refuse to impeach Obama
There is no secret that the GOP insider Rove Republicans hate the Tea Party.
Anyone who believes that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
Oh I agree. But we can’t ignore that the individual pols/problems are what ‘are’ that government.
Yep. And for some insight on your point, I heard Rush today say over and over that we should put to rest the thought of impeachment. Ain't gonna happen *according to him) so perish the thought. Rush is intentionally trying to quell the growing chorus to demand accountability.
Some say he takes his direction from the GOPe. Sometimes it seems that way.
/problems are what are that government.
The DNC and the GOP establishment are one and the same. That’s why the Bush IRS nominee donated to the dems. It’s all in the family you know. Who hurt tea party conservatives worse in 2010? It’s hard to say. They are the ruling class.
No it’s not.
It does indeed. My faith in Rush took a hell of a hit the day he said he wasn’t going to ‘carry the GOP’s water” anymore back in the Pelosi years. It never recovered. I love most of his stuff. But I no longer trust him.
“The enemy is big government not any individual politician. Anyone who says anything different is part of the problem.”
That’s like urging local law enforcement not to prosecute a couple of gangbangers for robbing and killing the store owners because the enemy is the Crips and the Bloods. Sure violent gangs are the problem in general, but the perps still need to do time.
Rush said something similar today. And to him I would say, ‘nice try, but for decades our guys got run out of town for things far, far less and I’m tired of that door only swinging one way. Sorry, no sale.’
Rush is right. You are wrong. Don’t let hatred make you stupid.
I doubt the IRS commissioner ran this operation. Commissioners are figureheads over there. The real power lies in the assistanct commissioners of each service within the IRS.
When all else fails for Obama, just blame Bush. Low information Democrats nod in agreement everytime.
