I don’t want to sound mean but if the forecast predicted severe storm was heading there why send your children to school. Also don’t school’s have a underground deep shelter to have the children run to for protection from tornado? I mean how many times must this happen before they build better schools with deep underground shelters?
Many schools are used for shelters in emergency situations....generally ca withstand strong winds etc. But in this case it was an F5 Tornado with winds at 200 plus an hour...plus it was drilling as it went.
This morning there was no severe storm and no severe storms heading for Moore.
There was just a big "moderate risk" area extending from Texas to Missouri. 99.99999999% of this area did not experience a tornado today.
You obviously don’t or have never lived in Oklahoma or don’t know much about the type of soil in that particular area. Might want to do some research on your own on the internet.
Since hurricane season is almost on us on the Gulf Coast might also want to find out why we don’t have basements in our homes on the Gulf Coast.
