Always changing the rules to benefit themselves.
Drive it like you stole it, Harry, and it sounds like you’ve had lots of insider help to steal the previous election...
LOL
Immigration bill?
Wait a gobdarn minute! What about the simmering saucer crapola stuff that chucky schumer was spouting?
That didn’t stop NAFTA, did it?
What a far cry from Harry’s attitude in 2005.
It’s still on their own website too!
http://democrats.senate.gov/2005/05/18/reid-floor-speech-on-use-of-filibuster/
“The filibuster is far from a procedural gimmick. It is part of the fabric of this institution. It was well known in colonial legislatures, and it is an integral part of our countrys 217 years of history.” — Then Minority Leader Sen. Harry Reid, May 2005.
Seems to me that Reid doesn’t have control over the super majority requirements of the Constitution for Treaty approval. They have to get 67 votes to approve the treaty. I don’t see that happening.
He is an evil, twisted little man obsessed with his own importance. What a shallow shell of a human being. *shudder*
yes I really think he is, maybe he has a reason for that!
Sometimes BHO2 lets the truth slip out — like when he says that he is a Muslim Marxist. Maybe, just maybe, he’s telling the truth!
“If the GOP retakes the senate, its first action will be to revert to the former rules on filibuster and allow the democrats to block them at every turn.”
*******************************************************************
LOL Funny but, unfortunately, probably close to the truth if the McCain/Graham RINO wing of the party remains in control of the caucus.
The good thing is that with a handful more of Cruz types elected as reinforcements more robust leadership may be voted in to take over Senate leadership.
So what will Harry Reid say if Republicans regain control of the Senate and they say no more filibusters because Sen. Reid said so.
Going back to the Contract with America, the Democrats filibustered bills that a majority of the Democrats voted for including one that they filibustered for five days and then voted unanimously for.
