I’ll be IRS employees even maintain their own “Judenraete” councils. How else could you personally justify working for the most monstrous organization in the US? How would you like to go to work every day having your “company” and your role vilified and hated by every American? People who take jobs at the IRS are the lowest level pond scum possible.

Just following orders? Where have we heard that one before?.

Low level IRS bureaucrats calling winners and losers in our political system? Heady stuff. Swollen egos in little Cincinnati fiefdoms...

IRS agents made calls - not based on law - but by carefully applying one standard for liberals and a different standard for conservatives.

Same horror happened in the United States years ago ... back in the racist South...

Voting in the Jim Crow era was the same... blacks had to pass difficult test to get the right to vote - whites just signed a card. Sounds like our modern IRS agents...

Different victims - same evil...

Seems the IRS is deluding themselves. These folks could have worked out train schedules for Dachau without missing a wink of sleep. And the idiot reporter from the Washington Post wouldn't have had the wit to question any of it...

Impossible voter registration 'tests' for blacks - signature cards for whites... - in our time impossible standards for conservatives - easy OK's for liberals. .. Something has to be done.

Where is Chris Matthews and the NAACP on this issue? Would love to hear their excuses... Jesse Jackson - are you out there? Al Sharpton - doesn't this remind you of something???

I had a friend whose wife worked at the IRS as an auditor, located in the Bible Belt (actual location withheld to protect the innocent). She mainly worked in business audits. She isn't pond scum at all. However, think geek: a numbers geek. She is an accountant, and is all about the numbers and the regulations; all day, every day. In talking with her, I got the impression that she never thought past the numbers and regulations; never thought about how what she did affected people, their businesses and their lives. She just didn't seem capable. Sort of odd... She knew what people thought about the IRS, but didn't seem to care much. Her attitude was someone had to do it, and it might as well be her. However, she was very aware of what was needed to keep her job and lucrative retirement. Was also all about doing what was needed to get ahead and stay ahead in the IRS. She knew she had it good, and wasn't about to jeopardize it.
