I know how you feel. My wife’s older cousin, from the Philippines, is visiting. Her cousin is pretty non-political, but I had her (the cousin) read an ABC News (hardly the paragon of conservatism) piece on the IRS scandal. She said to me “Just like in the Philippines.” Which is pretty bad: the corruption there has truly been a major factor in the country’s poverty.
Thai corruption and dirty politics plus her love of the American Constitution’s Bill of Rights, prompted her to come to the USA as a nurse during the nursing shortage of the mid 60s. Needless to say, she despises Obama and his “minions”.
