Ripped from weatherunderground:
Aerial footage via @NBCDFW in Granbury, TX disconcerting. Appears to be only a slab foundation remaining on some homes. High-end damage.

Glad you are safe. Be careful with any debris clean up.
Prayers up for ALL N. Texans, this morning.

Thank y'all for your prayers.
The mile wide tornado dissipated somewhat before it got to us. Cleburne, a few miles to the west of us, got thrashed pretty heavily. Most of the TV/radio news is coming out of Granbury due to more extensive damage.
Reports from Cleburne of a lot of damaged buildings but no fatalities. Wife says kids school damaged and roads closed due to debris.
We never lost power but it browned out some. The tornado or its remnants passed over the house and for several minutes we had gale force winds out of the east. Lots of wind till about 1 am. Witnessed 2 funnels on the ground to the south east of us several miles away. Nearly constant lightning for over an hour, most of which stayed in the sky.
All I could see this morning when I left in the dark was some leaves stripped off of trees.
I have no idea how much rain we had but the stock tank went from about 1/4 to over the spill way. We had hail probably 6 times but never over quarter size and surprisingly it did not manage to break any windows.

It never got too bad here, compared to Granbury. Heavy rain, a little hail, and straight line winds.
I'm still waiting to hear from several relatives.

Prayers that you will hear from all family soon and all will be ok.

I expect that word just hasn't filtered out to me.
Nephew was walking out of the area last night with his very young girls when they saw a casualty in the street. Nephew said it was horrific. The casualty was very dead, in my nephew's words.

So sad. You know those girls will be affected by that the rest of their lives. How tragic! There are no words.

Kids are pretty resilient, and the girls are very young. They may not have understood what they saw.
It shook my nephew up pretty bad, though.

I can only imagine. Did his house get torn up too?

His place took some pretty heavy damage, mainly from trees down. He said 4 houses down the street were just completely destroyed.
Obviously, we're all much more concerned about the people. Stuff can be replaced.

Let me know when you hear from the rest of your kinfolk. Will continue to send prayers.

All of my family is accounted for now. Just spoke with my sister. Information coming out of Granbury is spotty and slow because of the phone lines/power etc.

To: JRandomFreeper
Wonderful!! Thank you so much for letting me know.

Thank you for the prayers. We still need to pray for those folks down in Granbury. They have a long row to hoe, to get back to where they were.
