It is possible that you are right, but with Stevens dead and the co-conspirators overseas, this will be a very tough nut to crack.YOu mean the survivors? Who knows where they are, do you? More witnesses want to tell what they know. Many people know what was going on, not just Stevens. This is huge, and many crimes were committed - not just "impeachable" offenses, but decades or a lifetime of imprisonment (at the least). I do not understand your desire to ignore this.

I don’t exactly want to “ignore” Benghazi. I just think that, of the many things that could be investigated, this is the one that is most likely to have a successful defense by distraction and obfuscation.

Back in the day, the thing that most passionate Nixon haters wanted him hung for was the “illegal” invasion of Cambodia.
As things evolved, it became clear that an executive decision involving a controversial overseas adventure was the most likely place for his defenders to make a stand.
