Worst still, referencing Brazilian Blacks in the US as "African-Americans". FWIW, it is now legitimate and formal in Mexico to refer to that race as "Negro".
“negro” is the word for black in spanish. They don’t have another word for it.
Here’s another question, when did “oriental” become a bad word and why is everyone an “Asian” now.
Because to me there are differences between people I would call “Orientals” such as Chinese people, Japanese people, Korean people, etc. and those I would call “Asian” such as Indians, Pakistanis, etc.
And not just differences of appearance, there are great language and cultural differences.
But I guess as long as I don’t think white people s*ck, I’m a racist!
