Why? Do you think that an “oath” is going to be some kind of truth serum to someone like that? Is it a magic spell of some sort?
I wouldn’t put someone like that on the stand, because they will then have a forum for espousing lies to cover up the previous lies.
Well knowing you could face jail or at a minimum lengthy legal issues certainly provides a large incentive to tell the truth. Especially if most of the truth is already known. A good lawyer would tear her apart under these circumstances if she lied.
