The key difference between the two was taking down OBL was planned in advance whereas Benghazi happened on the fly.

Apparently Obama probably was watching baseball, basketball, football, or something, and probably could not be interrupted.

But they were supposed to ask Pakistan.

That is why they used stealth helicopters (or rather one reason).

In Zero Dark Thirty, the movie claims at some point the Pakistani radar picks up the Americans.

The other reason for stealth was taking the compound by surprise.
