Payback time in the hen house as Benghazi hearings start on Wednesday
Washington Times ^ | 5/7/13 | Wesley Pruden

Posted on 05/07/2013 11:27:33 AM PDT by Nachum

The noise in the hen house this morning is the flutter and cackle of the chickens from Benghazi, scuttling home to roost. The House committee opening hearings Wednesday on what happened there is likely to serve up chicken surprise. The four whistleblowing witnesses scheduled to testify to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee are said to be eager to tell a story far different from the various accounts, all confused and all contradictory, peddled by the Obama administration. Someone at the White House should have remembered that old Washington chestnut, as true now as ever,

Pruden's column says there are FOUR witnesses to testify tomorrow, but I've only heard 3 mentioned. Any ideas?

Emails and documents from the State Department, the CIA and the National Security Administration, published in the current edition of the Weekly Standard magazine, reveal that officials of those agencies tried to delete all references to the involvement of al Qaeda in the talking points, and identify Victoria Nuland, spokeswoman for the State Department, as complaining that the revisions did not go far enough to satisfy “my building’s leadership.” The leadership of the “building,” and no doubt the people in it, wanted all evidence of al Qaeda involvement, not only in the attack on Americans in Benghazi, but in attacks on other Western target, removed from the “talking points.”

Sounds like "the building" needs fumigated.

It may well be the case that the refusal of the President or the Secretary of State to allow a rescue attempt was the direct cause of the demise of four people. But these hearings are just another racist attack on a black man in the White House. Let’s Move On.

Lessay four people died at the Watergate —bad, huh?

And now let’s say that as work of that broke, Nixon JAILED innocent people, in order to hush it up.

How plausible is it that the press would then have COLLUDED in hushing it all up...?

Every one of the witnesses is going to get the same treatment that Ken Starr got during the Bill Clinton impeachment hearings.

Each of them is going to be a made out a pervert, a child molester, a peeping-tom.

I wouldn't be surprised to see their income tax records and other personal information leaked... "by mistake" of course.

They'll be said to be on a personal vendetta against Hillary Clinton, or King Putt, or both.

They'll be said to be racists.

They'll be accused of spouse abuse as well as of child abuse.

They'll be accused of being "haters."

Someone will be found that will testify that one of them used the N-word back in college.

I skimmed the article, and I think he only mentions Hicks and Thompson. I seem to remember that there is a 72 hour rule about hearing witnesses. I suspect Pruden got it wrong because everyone else has been saying three, and it is now too late to add a fourth.

Many think these hearings will be a damaging to Obama and Hillary. But they will serve a far different purpose. They will serve to once again illustrate that the numero uno problem this country has is the Press. They will not cover it, downplay it, attack the whistleblowers and turn to blaming Bush.

Until we deal with the Press, we will never get our democracy back on track. These hearings will be confirmation that the Press weilds every bit as much power as our elected politicians. I have to wonder, how is it that we know so much about our politicians yet we know so little about the members of the Press?

I would like to think so, but experience has taught me that the left will circle the wagons and come out with vicious attacks on whomever they can think of to derail this.

The Obamatrons will be working over time to minimize the testimony, destroy the people giving it both in public and behind the scenes. They can look forward to personal attacks on themselves, their families, their friends, and any associates they can find.

That is their pattern after all. And- if push comes to shove, we can expect a 'wag the dog' event to take our minds off of the hearings. Clinton invaded during the Monica hearings. We very will might see any one of the following or a combination there of:

* An attack on Syria
* An attack on N. Korea
* A terror attack and a declaration of National Emergency
* A "suicide" of a major figure in the administration

The communists are very creative and quite ruthless. If the testimonies become damaging enough, we might see almost anything.

Why are there 4 instead of 30.

What happened to the others that the 2 Seals died to save?

I wonder what zero is up to today, other than trying to get the gray out of his hair. Do you think he’s out back having a smoke or 2?

I don’t think these four are actually eyewitnesses. They were just in the chain of command.

The 30 are still under wraps, and although we know at least one is likely an American, there’s no reason to think the others were.

Yes, it was just a bump in the road. What difference does it make? It was a long time ago, right?

I am ready to hit every MSM website tomorrow in order to post, email and stupid facebook my opinion everywhere. Obama's regime is nothing but a pack of traitorous LIARS and I'd like to see... oh... about 5 million people Tweet, forward, email, call, post, reply, sign, make a youtube video, or scream out a window, “JUSTICE for Benghazi murders! Punishment for the coverup! We demand it!”

All of this depends on whether Uncle Joe has a set on him. This is the perfect opportunity for one of those senior moments when he “accidentally” says that Obama knew this all along and it was done over Joes objections to protect the campaign.
