Haley Barbour on the Heritage report: "It's a political document. It's not serious analysis."
Jordan Fabian (@Jordanfabian) May 06, 2013
Ths morning the Heritage Foundation released a study estimating that amnesty will cost taxpayers at least $6.3 trillion. We can certainly understand why amnesty supporters are upset, but their criticisms of the study ring hollow.
Former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour calls the study a political document and not serious analysis but does not say what specifically is wrong with the methodology.
Sen. Jeff Flake also criticized the study, arguing that it does not take into account the economic benefits of immigration.
Here we go again. New Heritage study claims huge cost for Immigration Reform. Ignores economic benefits. No dynamic scoring.
Jeff Flake (@JeffFlake) May 06, 2013
Wrong:
Robert Rector says his study is a dynamic analysis. Shows that low-skill immigrants hurt low-skill citizen wages by 10%

Rep. Paul Ryan piled on:
In a statement provided to CQ Roll Call, the Wisconsin Republican had this to say about the Heritage report that the Senate bills amnesty component would cost taxpayers $6.3 trillion over several decades: The Congressional Budget Office has found that fixing our broken immigration system could help our economy grow. A proper accounting of immigration reform should take into account these dynamic effects.
Wrong again:
Heritage study does account for economic benefits of amnesty. They predict tax revenues will go up by $3.1 trillion.
Conn Carroll (@conncarroll) May 06, 2013
And please, Rep. Ryan, dont rely on the CBOs estimates of costs during the next 10 years:
DeMint compares Schumer-Rubio to Obamcare. Says cost explosion hidden outside 10 year CBO window.

We are open to the possibility that the Heritage Foundations analysis is flawed, but these are not good-faith criticisms. In fact, given how weak these arguments are, we doubt Barbour, Flake, or Ryan have even read the study. (It is 92 pages long and was released just this morning.)
I like Haley Barbour, but what are the chances he read the 90 pg @Heritage report before sounding off? ow.ly/kKU8q

We look forward to serious critiques of the studys methodology, particularly from those who havent been on the payroll of the Mexican government.
I cannot stand any of these people any longer.
Hope the fraudulent immigration bill fails. It must be stopped.
Jeff Flake has been a phenomenal disappointment. He didn’t waste any time at all jumping on the RINO bandwagon. I wish I had voted for the Democrat.
He has always been for the establishment. Now, more people see it. It's a blessing to see who these people really are.
I doubt Barbour, Ryan or Flake even read the immigration bill.
“Why, again, was everyone so excite that Ryan was the VP pick?”
Good question. I’m sick of these republicans jumping on the Amnesty train and then attacking real meal deal guys like DeMint.
That is the question.
Conda, who is an immigration lawyer, went to work for George Soros before becoming Rubios Chief of Staff. Cesar Conda worked on the editorial advisory board of George Soros magazine,The International Economy Magazine.
Cesar Conda had been spinning lies about the amnesty bill about how illegal wouldnt get welfare, wait more than 10 years for citizenship, etc. Those lies have been completely debunked.
DeMint didn’t “love” Mittens any more than Rush or Levin did. They just saw him as a placeholder since he ended up being the only alternative to the African communist. Personally, I couldn’t (and didn’t) vote for Mittens, but I cut some slack to desperate people who decided the lesser of two evils was way lesser. (Again, I’m not so sure Mittens was much lesser, and anyway, I long ago decided to never again reward the GOPe for, out of sheer cowardice, successfully pushing a “moderate” down the party’s throat.)
LLS
I voted for Flake. He was better than the alternative. But he is such a pansy!
At this point, I’ve sadly come to the conclusion that the GOP is not worth supporting anymore. Although a third party would hurt us in the short run, it is the only hope I see. I don’t know of anyone in the GOP I would truly trust.
” Well, Agenda 21 has to reach the endgame eventually and they all fought for it. For a long time now. Piece by piece.
Look up Turtle Island sometime. Then overlay the maps of fed lands and projections for land annexing. Then try convincing yourself this is all tinfoil.”
No tinfoil needed, Norm. I wish we needed it.
When people see that Agenda 21 ultimately sets the population of the continental US as less than 300,000 people, (as it ‘fully supports’ the Turtle Island initiative) they spaz and think it’s Art Bell stuff....
Do they think the other A21 demands being implemented daily by the Dems and GOP are tinfoil too? If so they live in the Renyolds Factory. What happens in an economic collapse? Lots of people die from disease and starvation...if not killed in the rioting.
It gets you there pretty quick.
“Do they think the other A21 demands being implemented daily by the Dems and GOP are tinfoil too?”
Apparently, many if not most do.
“Outside Palin and Cruz and Walker? No. Not that I can find. No one else demonstrates any conservatism.
I dunno, I like Gohmert, Gowdey and Chafitz(sp?)....so far.”
They also seem to be very good conservatives, and fighters.
Here is a link for Gohmert’s interview with Chris Wallace - the whole thing is great to watch, but at about 2-2 1/2 minutes into it is where he tells Chris Wallace that he wishes the principal at Sandy Hook had a gun instead of her bare hands, so that she could have stopped the guy.
