Go to your preferred Electoral College Vote Mapping website and find a scenario where she can win 271 EVs in 2016. I use http://www.270towin.com/
The battleground states: FL, OH, IN, NC, NV, CO, IA,
Can Palin win those states? I don’t see her taking Indiana or Ohio or Nevada. Florida will be even more Democrat-leaning by 2016,
I don’t see Palin able to bring in 7 to 9 million more votes than Romney or McCain/Palin. I don’t see Palin having the coattails to buttress/bolster the House majority.
I also honestly don’t see her doing anything at this time to prepare herself to reenter the public arena on a sustained basis to build name recognition, so I doubt she’s seriously considering running.
You do overlook the effect of an incredible campaigner, who was perhaps the most popular governor in American history, with a billion dollar campaign to overcome this snap shot that you are basing your hopes on.
Even Romney who was a lifelong loser with a single election win during his 20 years of running for office, an office which he couldn’t run for reelection for because he left with 34% approval, managed a showing of sorts, Palin would blow him away.
Romney? The abortionist/homosexualist/gun grabbing, big government mandate loving socialist healthcare pushing liberal? And he couldn’t turnout the conservative vote? Well, duh. Same as the aisle-crossing open borders pushing McCain. The only reason he got anywhere at all was Palin. Ask me. Yes, even I voted for her though I absolutely despised the constitution hating Benedict Arnold McCain.
Try running an honest to God conservative for a change and see your precious historical EC numbers change likewise. Turnout is key! Romney/McCain couldn’t turn them out.
Reagan was an honest to God conservative. Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, Romney not. It makes a helluva difference.
Tokyo Rove and his twisted GOP-e logic can go straight to hell!!
Palin will electrify millions of voters. No dbout about it.
