please distinguish between the operating theory that leads them astray and their own core values and beliefs.

They have no core values and beliefs ~ but they do believe in a non-existent 'middle'.

The Republican party has a good number of coalition partners. We have the Socons, Defcons, Fiscons, RTLifers, Traditionalists, Old Americans (families with their origins here in the 1600 - 1800 period), Abolitionists ~ yup, we still exist and I know many others including people in the Chinese ladies clubs who ride herd on slavery among the foreign embassy people here in the DC area, pro-industrialists, pro-trade advocates, pro-interstate highway expansion folks and so forth.

Democrats also have factions plus they have a tradition where-in you need to climb the ladders in the coalition partner FIRST before you can climb the ladders of leadership inside the Democrat party. Their union affiliates are most famous for that.

The Republican operational structure is different with various levels of effort lodged in different economic or geographic regions. This, BTW, is where the GOP-e makes its biggest mistake. They forgot to bring the Socons into that structure ~ that results in the possibility of a swing vote of about 17 million people who can sit out any given election and just toss it. If their leadership elites had representation in the upper echelon of the party, that 17 million voters would be much more reliable.

The GOP-e is also in dispute with the Fiscons (aka TEAParty) and hasn't passed around the leadership positions. That's why the GOP-e has gotten into the position where a majority of Republicans think the GOP-e should be purged ~ and that's one way or the other. Their faction needs put down. It's lost more Presidential elections since 1936 than it's won!

Besides, we don't need them ~ where they gonna' go with their talent? The Democrats? BWahahahahaha

Even if we nuke the leadership, the infrastructure is mercenary. They are devoted to themselves at best. And who thinks that if by miracle Palin or someone like her were to be elected on a GOP ticket, and stripped them of their self given perks, they would not start sabotaging everything?

Then there is the name. “GOP/Republican” is a destroyed brand. Dems (through no fight against them) strapped everything from Racist to Kill Granny around their necks and the public now believes it.

It’s an albatross. Everything about it is a waste of resource. It needs to go away.
