She wouldn't be my first choice (or second or third or fourth), but if she would be able to win the nomination, of course I would vote for her against any Democrat.
A couple of years as governor of Alaska before resigning, a couple of months as the VP nominee on a losing ticket--that's not much of a résumé. Right now I don't think she would be our best choice to defeat the Democrats. Maybe she should try to run for statewide office again--Senate race in Alaska next year?--and improve her credentials first.
Exactly.
The most principled thing she ever did was to resign in the face of unprecedented harassment. Do you not get why they hate her? She would go to Washington and KICK ASS and they KNOW it!
Why would you try to round 32 months down to 24, and why try to pretend that she doesn't have 20 years in politics and many years in elected offices, being first elected in 1992?
She hasn't won anything since her AK governor's race. That said, she has certainly helped a good many others win their Senate races.
She's been more influential in getting her Senate picks elected, and influence that secures the elections of multiple winners is what its all about.
The next office she should go for, if any, should be knocking off Begich in the AK Senate race -- abundantly winnable for her -- and show that she can do for herself what she has done for others.
FReegards!
